Read Out Loud! with Mónica Pérez

Because our native language is not English

Because we do not live in an English speaking country

Because we normally do not communicate in English, except when we are teaching

But because in spite of all the above we strive to keep on polishing our oral skills

APrIR is now offering

For better comprehension and better pronunciation: Read out loud!

A workshop where we can brush up and practice those areas where we sometimes feel more daunted:

  • The pronunciation of sounds
  • The intonation contours of English
Reading aloud, a performative and engaging activity, allows the reader to concentrate on her diction, while also getting a clearer insight into the meaning of what is being read.

The aim is to do this in a relaxed atmosphere, giving us the chance to experiment with our own articulatory possibilities, while disclosing the meaning of more challenging texts.
